Yummy Cloth

I like sucking on my diaper cloths. Mommy thinks this picture is similar to the one of Jordan when she was my age. But Jordan looked a lot more like stylish.

Dinner

I had dinner with Mommy, Daddy and big sister Jordan. While they ate food, I ate my toys!

Sitting Up

I can sit up all by myself! Well, with the light assistance of a few pillows.

Outing and Pediatrician Check-up

Today Mommy and Daddy took me downtown. While Daddy went to his dentist appointment, Mommy took me to Water Tower Place to do some shopping. It was very warm for this time of year - 61 degrees! I was very curious about my surroundings. I had no idea there was such a big world outside! I want to do more outings.

After Daddy's dentist appointment, it was time for my 4-month doctor's checkup. Daddy undressed me down to my onesie. It was so warm outside in my snowsuit that I was sweating!

I laughed and smiled at Daddy since he was making funny faces at me.

Mommy made me do tummy time while waiting for the doctor.

I gained only 4 pounds 3 oz. since the last visit. I am at 14 lbs. 7 oz. (25 to 50 percentile only). Mommy kept on asking the doctor how to get me to eat more and take more calories, but the doctor basically said that my weight gain (or lack thereof) reflects my genetics. Mommy can't figure out how I'm so different from big sister Jordan. Apparently Jordan was 17 lbs. 7 oz. at my same age, a full 3 pounds heavier. Daddy said that Mommy worried about Jordan's weight even though she was so big as a baby.

The doctor also measured my height and head circumference. I'm 25 3/4 in. tall (75%) and have a head size of 16 3/4 in. (75%). Mommy pointed out that all my percentiles are declining from visit to visit, but the doctor said not to worry about it, as I could be approaching my 'genetic destiny'. Mommy looked a little grumpy.

After the doctor left, the nurse came in a few minutes later to give me my shots. I really did not like the Rotateq vaccine, which they put into my mouth. It was very yucky and I spit out as much of it as I could. Then I got two shots on my left thigh. It was no fun at all. I was mad but stopped crying soon. Mommy told Daddy later that Jordan seemed to know that she was about to be given shots and cried for a long time afterwards since she was so mad about it. I think Mommy thinks that Jordan was smarter than me when she was my age. Sheesh, Mommy, I can't cry too much or too little? Humph.

'Funiture' Expedition

This weekend, Mommy and Daddy took us to Kewanee, IL to visit Good's, a very large furniture store. On Saturday morning, we drove for almost 2 and a half hours to get there. We stopped at KFC for lunch and big sister Jordan threw a tantrum near the end of the meal. Daddy had to drag her out of the restaurant. When we got to the store, we met up with Grandma and Grandpa Meyers. They watched us for a couple of hours while Mommy and Daddy did a manic walk-through of the store. They found a dining table set and sofa set they liked. While they shopped, I laid quietly in the Bumblebee double stroller - it was our first time taking the double stroller out - and eventually fell asleep in it, but Jordan ran around the store in her socks while Grandma chased after her. Mommy felt bad about how Jordan was torturing Grandma.

For dinner, we went to the Station House, a casual steakhouse and American restaurant close by. Mommy had to inhale her food as usual because I got grumpy. We stayed overnight at the bed and breakfast run by the store. In the middle of the night, Jordan started crying and Daddy put her into the grown-up bed. Jordan woke me up and I started grousing. After about 20 minutes of low-level grumbling, I started crying. When I was still crying after being fed, Mommy put me into bed with her, too. So all four of us slept on one queen-sized mattress! Mommy and I laid with our heads by the foot of the bed so we could all squeeze in. When we got up in the morning, Mommy let Jordan play with her iPad in order to keep her occupied. She let me lie around on the bed.

The next morning after breakfast, Grandma and Grandpa took care of us while Mommy and Daddy went back to the store. Jordan watched Tom and Jerry on TV and I hung out on Grandpa's lap. Mommy and Daddy took a long time to decide on the features they wanted for the dining room table and chairs and for the sofa. They took so long they even had to ask for a late check-out time!

It was a fun furniture trip for Jordan and me. I'm not so sure about how it was for Mommy and Daddy. Mommy might have said something about 'being tortured' several times.

The Quiet After the Storm

Watch out, Mommy! If only I had nunchucks... After my martial arts session, I had a quiet moment.

Game Night

Last night Mommy and Daddy took big sister Jordan and me to game night. I like watching all the things that were going on, with 3 kids under the age of 4 running around.

My friend Jason gave me a hug at the end of the evening.

I'll fight you, cow, I'll fight you!

Kung-Fu Fighting

I like to kick and flail.

Winter Coat

I'm snug as a bug in my new winter coat! I've outgrown the brown "bear" coat that I started off with when I was a newborn.

Play Date

Mommy and Daddy's friends Rani and Robert came over with their baby, Colin, to visit us today. We spent some time sleeping side by side.
We "hung" out together in our daddy's arms.
I like it when Daddy lifts me up and down in his arms. I am three months old today!
